| Tiivistelmä: | During the past few decades more and more countries have been suffering the ill-effects of unemployment. In general society must start to rethink its attitudes to work, perhaps by considering the alternatives to work, and more specifically restructuring working life. In many areas of the world the implementation of various steps to revitalize the economy and create new jobs seems to be inevitable. Policies advocated include work creation, retraining and the appropriate use of technology. No one measure can totally solve the unemployment problem, though a multi-directional attack may have some significant effect. |
