Tiivistelmä: | The number of business models for transactions and their economic importance increased immense in the last years. Bur still, a theoretical understanding of these business models is still missing. This article starts with a description of the four most important business models for transactions in the internet: Third party marketplaces, e-shops, auctions and file-sharing-communities. It continues with the discussion of two questions from the view of new institutional economics. First, under witch conditions it does make economically seen sense, to use the Internet for transactions. As especially the transaction cost theory shows, this is the case for standardized and less specific transactions. The second question is about the main success factors of these business model (original in German). |
