| Tiivistelmä: | Regarding the importance of the entrepreneur's perception and handling of risks for the foundation process and the success of new business venture, risk management is currently not adequately treated in the appropriate literature on new venture management. This study analyses the risks a new venture has to face and gives an overview of different risk taking aspects in some important theories of entrepreneurship. The focal point of the paper is to present risk management as an integral part of strategic venture management. Therefore this article focuses not only on a few methods of risk identification, risk assessment and risk treatment, but shows risk-adjusted balanced scorecarding as a systematic way to integrate the risk management with the foundation process (original in German). |
