Tiivistelmä: | This study investigates if German and US entrepreneurial teams differ in their occurrence, size, completeness, and performance. The results presented are based on a survey of more than 40 German and US empirical studies. The proportion of founding-teams compared with the total number of new venture creations is significantly higher in the USA than in Germany. In contrast to the German findings, the American results show that many American teams are complementary teams. The empirical studies given, lead to the conclusion that team-foundations show a tendency to being more successful than single- foundations. In contrast to the common wisdom that heterogeneous teams are superior to homogeneous teams, latest research shows that heterogeneity is a double edged sword. |
