| Tiivistelmä: | Different services of consultants have been analyzed to find out how adequate they are for contingent fees (due to problems of measurability or influence of the consultants). Theoretical arguments and anecdotal evidence from interviews with consultants have been used to analyze opportunities of contingent fees in consulting for startup firms. For cases with unobservable quality and consultant moral hazard it has been argued that low quality startup firms offer consultants higher contingency percentages than higher quality startups. By sharing more risks with the consultants the high-quality entrepreneurs they signal their specific "case quality"; anecdotal evidence supports this view (original in German). |
