Tiivistelmä:In the last 10 years Nokia of Finland has transformed itself from a medium size consumer goods conglomerate to a world class communications and electronics company. It ranks second to Motorola in the world cellular phone business. The company now operates in 33 countries, with production in 16, and it is currently focusing in three product groups: telecom systems and mobile phones, consumer electronics products, and delivery of cables and its machinery with expanding more rapidly in mobile phones market. Nokia's expansion has been brought about in part by a series of strategic alliances in the markets which it has targeted. In consumer electronics, e.g., Nokia has formed alliances on the Eureka HDTV project.
