| Tiivistelmä: | Continual search for payoff-related information on knowledge acquisition and effective adaptation to it is argued to be an essential component of economizing behavior by firms. By focusing the analysis on a model of demand uncertainty wherein the typical firm searches for and adapts to information relating to the unknown distribution of consumer preferences, certain predictive implications of economizing behavior on the boundary, scope and organizational structure of the firm are derived. |
