| Tiivistelmä: | This study investigates the macroeconomic implications of cash limits in an unionized economy with decentralized wage bargaining in both private and public sectors, focusing on the linkages between changes in the cash limit, wage-setting, and employment in private and public sectors. Unemployment may fall or rise by public sector expansion accomplished by means of an increase in the cash limit. If unions are more powerful in the public than the private sector, unemployment increases. |
