Tiivistelmä:This article develops a model that integrates the effect of the CEO and the top management teams (TMT) on ambidexterity. It is hypothesized that the CEO's network extensiveness will positively affect ambidexterity. It is also argued that this impact will be fortified when the CEO-TMT interactional interface enables the entire TMT to process different information demands essential to attaining ambidexterity. The model is tested and general support is found for it from multi-source survey data from 122 small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
