| Tiivistelmä: | With adroit direction, small size can be a boon. Many an independent firm, though accounting for a negligible fraction of its industry's total economic activity, prospers by building on unique strengths or by turning ostensible handicaps into advantages. An insignificant share of the market, of industry assets, or of employees, imposes numerous limitations, yet entrepreneurs use modest size as a spring board for success. Practical policies for success are summarized. Opportunities abound in marketing, production and administration. |
