Tiivistelmä: | Product innovation has strategic importance often neglected in business practice. Empirical contingency model for product innovation: the main characteristics of the firm and its environment,the process and the results of innovation as the main components of the model. Small,owner controlled companies proved to be more active in product innovation than the larger ones, directed by managers. Strong competition blocks progress in product innovation. There could be found a relatively large proportion of entirely new products in entertainment electronics,while in home or household electronics there were more new versions of formerly developed products. |
