| Tiivistelmä: | The analysis of nonlinear pricing is extended to study the welfare effects of such pricing in an oligopoly. A model of price behaviour is constructed in a differentiated product oligopoly. Besides, we examine the impact of increased competition upon the terms of sale and upon welfare. The insurance or computer industries may serve as examples for industries where nonlinear pricing methods replace the more traditional linear pricing practice. |
