Tiivistelmä: | Exchange relationships between suppliers of component parts-materials and original equipment manufacturers are discussed. Literature about the topic is reviewed. The development of just-in-time relationships is described. General characteristics are analysed. The new system is compared with traditional ones. A conceptual framework is developed focusing on constructs and processes that help to explain levels of interest in and preference for just-in-time exchanges by original equipment manufacturers. The question of why organizations engage in a specific form of exchange relationship is examined. Factors influencing the success-failure initiated just-in-time relationships are analysed. |
