| Tiivistelmä: | Three aspects of management development are described: management development as a strategic concern, management development objectives, the process by which managers actually specify and buy management development and training. Management development is becoming increasingly vital to corporate development and survival. However there is little research into management's perception of the strategic role of management development. Both line managers and professional trainers give their views on specifying, sourcing and implementing management development programmes. |
