| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the patterns in voluntary social disclosures. The sample consists of large UK companies. The article documents links to firm size, media exposure, social performance, and the nature of the firms activities. The findings suggest that voluntary social disclosures play an important strategic role in managing the external stakeholder pressure on these companies. |
