| Tiivistelmä: | The following conclusions are drawn from the analysis: In the early period, during which modern industrial sectors are expanding continuously, it is rational that the gap in income distribution between urban residents presented a widening trend. During the period of economic transformation as the rate of unemployment is rising, the income share of low-income stratum has been reduced, as a result of which the gap between residents has widened. So in the present stage, the reform of state-owned enterprises should be accelerated to reduce the rate of unemployment and increase the income of workers. To increase the proportion of expenditure on social welfare and transfer payment to the low-income stratum are the important way to narrow the gap. Besides,the wage growth mechanism should be established. |
