| Tiivistelmä: | This article focuses on the urban-rural fringe (hereafter as: u-r fringe), which is an increasingly dominant expression of the post-industrial cultural landscape. The u-r fringe is an important tourism venue for many tourism-related activities e.g. theme parks, shopping villages, factory outlet malls, golf courses and touring. The article argues that the distinctiveness of this venue can be designated as exurban tourism. |
