Tiivistelmä:Although it is empirically demonstrated in psychological studies that people believe meaning and happiness are essential elements of the good life and money is relatively unimportant, people continue to focus on increasing income and wealth. This paper aims to critically analyze psychological studies comparing happiness and financial success, and then contrast the results with philosophical wisdom and religious writings comparing happiness and money. The author seeks to determine whether psychological studies can provide incremental insights into the research focused on the connection between financial success and happiness.
