| Tiivistelmä: | This first article in a two-part series discussing the setup reduction process contains a description of a simple model that emphasized the kinds and sequence of investments usually made during a setup reduction program. This model can be included as part of intial training in setup reduction to describe the logical process of reducing setup costs. Its emphasis on the kinds of investments , hence the cost/benefit relationship, also makes it a useful tool for explaining the setup reduction process to general management. |
