| Tiivistelmä: | In this first of a series of papers on how technology is affecting leadership in organizations, the authors spend time up front defining what constitutes e-leadership, and how it is affecting leaders, followers, teams and organizations. The authors view e-leadership as being a fundamental change in the way leaders and followers relate to each other within organizations and between organizations. Yet, the authors also discuss how certain fundamentals of leadership will probably always be the same, even in this new context. The authors conclude with some of the practical implications of the research the authors have done on e-leadership and discuss the road ahead in terms of the remaining papers in this special issue. |
