| Tiivistelmä: | The production of art has become an international multi-billion dollar industry during the twentieth century. The activities of the associated cultural industries have remained largely unexplored. This article takes a tentative step towards filling this gap in the study of organizations. The importance of organizations in the technological and social transformation of modern society is undisputed. Nor do organizations play an insignificant role in the ceation and dissemination of new cultural manifestaitons. |
