| Tiivistelmä: | The Northwest's economic development features the export of resources and primary process of raw materials which are the main part of its economy, depending on the advanced areas in the eastern part of China and the coexistence of non-marketization of micro production and organizational systems, and marketization of macro external exchanges. There exist such problems as high cost of resource development and economic construction, poor communication, the dependence of agricultural production on natural conditions and backward investment system and education. Therefore, attention should be paid to the issues like perfecting policy towards nationalities and tilting in investment.
