Tiivistelmä:Outplacement gave organizations a human tool to assist dehired employees through the emotional trauma and then onto a successful career transition. However, the remaining employees (the other side of the dilemma) has surfaced to be as important. In fact, handling the survivors of a downsizing is crucial to the future of the organization. The two-headed challenge for management is how to unite these survivors into a forward-moving team, as well as how to motivate them to work harder in a leaner, totally alien culture.
