| Tiivistelmä: | An interview is presented with Howard Frank, now the chairman and chief executive officer of Network Management Inc, Fairfax, Va, a networking pioneer with a quarter century of experiences spanning the breadth of interconnection technologies of the past and present. Dr. Frank gives his views on the changing nature of network management. His major point is that you cannot go and buy 17 different network operating systems, you need one, so its selection must be very careful. Problems of recent trends are also discussed. Dr. Frank said that the most crucial factor was the flexibility and adaptability of the people in the business toward the success of information systems. |
