| Tiivistelmä: | Over the last few years companies have been so dependent on their information networks that their safety must be absolutely assured. Maliciousness, improper behaviour or purely technical problems pose a great many threats. Some aspects of information network safety are examined in detail: access to data; 2. integrity of data while they are processed or communicated; 3. secrecy and privacy; 4. commitment to standards such as Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce and Transport (EDIFACT). Some guidelines are offered as an aid to safety measures. |
