Tiivistelmä: | The intent of this report is to examine the circumstances surrounding the industrial company in a so-called mature market. A review of the product life cycle literature will provide a basis from which this process can begin. Symptoms that lead managers to believe a mature market exists are uncovered and analyzed. The report then discusses strategies commonly chosen by companies to cope in a mature market, and examines whether these strategies lead to self-fulfilling prophecies. Other ways to treat the symptoms are offered and recommendations are made to American companies on how they can implement revitalization strategies. |
