| Tiivistelmä: | The approval of the Maastricht EC-contract in February 1992 leads to a deeper EC trade policy. This may cause serious consequences for European trade firms. Single member states may still impose quotas on the import of goods from third countries. The fullfillment of a free common market depends on how often it is relied on the Article 115 in the future. Quotas may be applied to goods that are already in free circulation within the internal market. The Abolition of controls at the inner-EC borders was planned for the end of 1992 but they would be needed to the observance of import quotas. The abolition of inner-EC borders is crucial for the internationalization of trade companies' procurement, distribution and logistical structure. |
