| Tiivistelmä: | The study and development of variable demand lot sizing techniques has historically been a popular production planning and control objective. Perhaps the newest entry into the area of lot sizing techniques is the Technique for Order Placement and Sizing (TOPS). A small scale study used 20 problems which have been used widely to test the performances of other techniques. For these problems TOPS generated optimal solutions for all cases. |
