| Tiivistelmä: | Empirical Research concerning Equity Joint Ventures: Structuring the Literature and Development of a Framework on the Basis of Existing Findings. The globalization of markets forces firms to bundle their company specific resources. A possible institutional form of this pooling of resources is an equity joint venture. Meanwhile a lot of articles exist which deal with success factors of joint ventures but due to various study designs, samples, theoretical approaches, and measures of interesting variables many important results exist. In this article the authors reduce the results of several studies to four success categories with several key success factors. They show that the contradictory results in some studies can be explained through different study designs. This results in managerial implications and recommendations for new studies. |
