| Tiivistelmä: | This article discusses why e-commerce will reshape the entire distance learning sector and how the change might come about. Conventional distance learning models are examined, the potential of automating distance learning processes are investigated, relevant economic mechanisms are discussed and a novel theoretical model for an e-commerce based distributed distance education (named as distriducation) is proposed. |
