| Tiivistelmä: | The first section of this article examines some of the recent gains secured for trade union organization through national-level involvement in social pacts and the reform of regulatory regimes. Trade union restructuring is assessed in the second section, with a specific emphasis on the trade union merger process. The third section assesses the impact of changes in union structure, the labour market and bargaining decentralisation on the role of trade union confederations. |
