| Tiivistelmä: | How is the USA to retain its global business leadership in an uncertain future? This question was addressed by the members of a conference at the Hartford Graduate Center of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute a few months ago. Businessmen' and academics' views of new global markets, Japanese production and marketing concepts, USA corporate career paths and practices, and the new social responsibilities of corporations are reported. Eight charts are presented to show that the USA is still the biggest and the best example of good management in the world. The challenge of the continuation of Japanese trade barriers and the threat of protectionism in the formative European Common Market are examined. |
