| Tiivistelmä: | In recent years, the ethics of organizations (hereafter as: e-of-orgs.) has got a lot of attention. It is questioned whether the e-of-orgs. also has improved. In the years of 1999, 2004, and 2008, a survey was performed concerning more than 12,000 U.S. managers and employees. It is shown that the e-of-orgs. improved during the period from 1999 to 2004. From 2004 to 2008, unethical behaviour with its consequences declined and the scope of ethics programs expanded whereas ethical culture showed no significant improvement during the period in question. |
