Tiivistelmä: | Collective memory (hereafter as: c-m.) is an active research area, focused on several social-psychological perspective of c-m. Organizational memory is a form of c-m. This research discusses how a hypermedia-based prototype of c-m. in a controlled experiment was used to investigate empirical validity of the consequential effects of using memory support on cognitive-conflict (hereafter as: c-c.) type of decisions. The results indicate that the use of c-m. information provides the study participants focused attention on the c-c. task domain and leads to faster decision making. The results also indicate that there may be a potential for c-m. support to lead to encased learning. |
