| Tiivistelmä: | While the importance of the environment in political debate has tended to wax and wane over recent years, with interest tending to decline during the economic recession of the early 1990s, it still represents a major concern. The aim of this paper is initially to offer some indication of how diversified these problems are and to provide some comment on their magnitude. In particular, with policy assessment it is helpful to have some idea of the monetary magnitudes so that sensible trade-offs can be made. |
