| Tiivistelmä: | It has become common wisdom that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The authors have investigated this view as propagated by key reports such as those of the Rowntree Foundation, the Commission on Social Justice and the Fabian Society and found the analyses to be misleading because inappropriate and inconsistent measures are used. Key differences were revealed when original incomes of docile groups were compared with final income of these groups. |
