| Tiivistelmä: | The orthodox theory of the multinational enterprise, based on the internalisation framework, has successfully explained the development of the multinational firm but its blend of the neoclassical theory of the firm with institutional elements seemingly leaves only a minor role for management. In fact there is a central role for management decision making to play within this orthodox framework. Given the premises of the approach, management decision making plays a key role in determining the scope, direction of growth and opportunities for growth. |
