| Tiivistelmä: | By examining the company's health care coverage in light of workers' compensation, one can save company's money by discouraging workers' comp cheaters. In most companies employee costs represent the single largest overhead factor. They are increasing each year due to the rising cost of medical care, hospitalization and workers' compensation insurance. A reduction of such costs by 10 p.c. is equivalent to 25 p.c. increase in after-tax profit. Thus a method that would reduce workers' comp and employee benefit cost could result in a dramatic increase of profits. Such a method exists but it is not implemented by USA corporations today. A program is suggested for corporate managers to reduce overheads by simple measures. |
