| Tiivistelmä: | A wide range of international research findings on the impact of profit-sharing and employee shareholding schemes is summarised. Three central issues are discussed. These are the economic impact of profit-sharing, the impact on industrial relations and the effects on organisational performance expressed in terms of employee efforts to work harder, to eliminate waste, to improve efficiency, to increase quality, and to reduce costs. Employee participation in ownership is viewed as a means for employees to influence company policy and to share in the rewards of work. |
