| Tiivistelmä: | Of the 14.5 billion pounds spent on alcoholic drinks in the on-trade in 1993 , 72% was accounted for by public houses , 23% by clubs and 5% by restaurants and other restricted licence premises. By volume,pubs accounted for 72,6% of on-trade sales of cider in 1993, 62.4% of beer, 47.7% of spirits, 45.7% of fortified wines and 40.0% of still light wine. Clubs achieve their greatest share with spirits (31.7%), restricted licence premises with still light wine (24.7%). The pub trade has been through a period of major change since the end of 1989. |
