| Tiivistelmä: | The author compares the EC-directives and the Basel convention on own capital and on solvency coefficient with present FRG law. The definitions of own capital and total risky operations are given. Own capital has in EC a watered-down definition but the reserve ratio is commensurately large (8 %). |
