| Tiivistelmä: | Behind Korea's financial crisis in 1997, there were a serial of system factors, such as the government's undue intervention in the activities of financial institutions, drawbacks in financing system and imperfect financial supervision and management system. These system factors made the business activities of financial institutions under no commercial guidance, thus leading to a huge sum of bad loan and endangering themselves at last. On the other hand, they led to the undue dependence of enterprises on the indirect financing of domestic banks and foreign debt, which finally touched off the financial crisis expressed as foreign debt payment crisis. |
