| Tiivistelmä: | Four different strategic options of the international orientation of personnel management are discussed in the article. The options are: ethno- and geocentric, regio- and polycentric orientation. The importance and functions of each are assessed, and a combined approach is recommended. Additionally related questions are reviewed and ten theses are postulated. A general framework concerning the internationalization of human resource management is outlined. It is found that the international orientation is not given the proper priority in the majority of German enterprises. |
