| Tiivistelmä: | There is no secret why companies are reluctant to internationalize their R&D operations. Geographical dispersion of R&D laboratories lead to a number of difficult management problems. The author analyses why companies are engaging in international R&D activities and more importantly, if they have engaged in such activities, how they manage the international network of laboratories that they have created in order to overcome the potential drawbacks of international R&D and to increase the effectiveness of the laboratory network. |
