| Tiivistelmä: | Since excellence is defined on the basis of characteristics of the best American companies, there is an issue if SMEs, particularly those in the countries of transition, are capable to achieve it.The paper first focuses on the selected dimensions of excellence: quality of human resources business ethics, sustainability, innovation potential, and company culture, which reflect the previous ones.After an overview on general features of SMEs in Slovenia and assessment of issues and constraints, the authors conclude with some ideas on how to improve the situation. |
