| Tiivistelmä: | The EC-countries tighten their connections in the framework of the monetary and economic union.The economic union is almost completed.An article on the groundwork of the economic union was already published in the IB-magazine, number 6-7/2995.The purpose of this article is the explanation of the fundaments of the monetary union.The article presents the evolution of the monetary unification in the European Community (and therefore also in the European Union) and its fundamental advantages.The description of individual grades of the monetary unification follows.The third grade is especially carefully analysed.The unified money won't be created before the third grade is achieved and will only be introduced in the countries that will fulfill the convergency criteria and will wish to have it.Finally, the article tries to evaluate the impact of the monetary unification on the Slovene economy. |
