Tiivistelmä:What people mean and are understood to mean, by a "good Job" depends on where they are coming from. In the most class-closed society of Britain in the 1930s, for instance, to the laborers and factory workers losing their jobs in the depression, someone who worked on the railway with the security of a seniority-rule protected job was the object of envy. Craftsmen who had served an apprenticeship were also in the good job category: not necessarily more security, but more pay and more honour.
