Tiivistelmä:The paper is an introduction to a special section devoted to reflections on research in marketing. 12 authors take part in this section. 12 essays span a broad range of issues relating to research, publishing, and reviewing. Some essays address issues pertinent in the context of relevance and rigor of scholarly research. Some of them address issues relating to the importance of, and challenge associated with, doing research that is interesting. They offer a number of valuable suggestions to authors, reviewers, and editors for elevating the "interesting quotient" of literature in the field of marketing. Other review serves the needs of multiple constituencies, chief among them being the discipline, the manuscript author, and the journal editor.
