Not since the switch in late last century from cash to bank deposits has so much taken place in the form of new finance instruments and procedures. The author compares the change to the Industrial Revolution. Opinion is divided on the pros and cons, but the author thinks the change will probably on the long term be beneficial for the Canadian economy. |
