| Tiivistelmä: | Theory has increasingly denied lately that real devaluation has a positive effect on growth. Empirical studies are missing however. The present article proves on cross section data of several countries from the 1982-87 period that such growth effects do exist even if its strength, direction and structure is highly depending on the country and period investigated. |
